Valencene is a fragrant terpene most commonly found in Valencia oranges, thus the name. It can be found in many other citrus fruits and tropical plants, as well as functional botanicals.

Valencene has a sweet, citrusy aroma and flavor much like that of many common citrus fruits, but also has notes of fresh cut wood and herbs. It's so fragrant that it is responsible for the citrus smells is many adult-use botanical strains. Valencene has many medicinal benefits, including being an insect repellent and an anti-inflammatory.
