Caryophyllene Oxide is merely a byproduct of oxygenating the terpene caryophyllene. Caryophyllene has the a spicy and woody aroma, and is commonly found in functional botanicals, black pepper, oregano, rosemary, hops, and many others. It has spicy, musty, and wood like flavor. It has many medicinal benefits, and could easily be used in treatment of pain and inflammation, depression and anxiety, epilepsy, cancer, and to help people with addiction, especially to alcohol.
