Limonene is available as D (dextro) and L (Laevo). It is an aroma chemical that is found in a variety of plants; both in plants that are defined as aromatic and those that are not. L- and D-limonene is present in almost every plant that has green leaves even if only in trace amounts. It is present in very large quantities in some plants like lemons and oranges and also in mint, herbs and spices, as well as fir needle oils and other conifers.
